| Universal has one the rights to produce a movie based on the arcade game Asteroids. Now for you who don't know what Asteroids is, I'll tell you. It was a simple game in which asteroids would come at your spacecraft, you would shoot them, the asteroids may break apart into multiple smaller ones, occasionally shoot UFOs, and you could move around if you chose. So the objective: shoot objects and not get smashed by them Ah, those were the good days... before I was born. Now, I'm sure the question that comes up is this, "Why in the world would anyone want to make a movie from that?!" Seriously, what is the movie going to be about: an hour and a half of a guy in a spacecraft shooting asteroids and saying "Over there's an asteroid, I must shoot it!" or "Oh no! The asteroid split into three smaller ones! Now I must shoot those!" or even "There's a UFO!" Ah, I can imagine the tension coming from this movie and it'll be a triple A title and all the people in the world will enjoy it; thus, helping us to lead to world peace in our shared unison of wanting to shoot asteroids. My head hurts at the thought of this movie. Article | |
