Firefly - A Game That Uses A Candle Empty
PostSubject: Firefly - A Game That Uses A Candle   Firefly - A Game That Uses A Candle EmptyFri Oct 16, 2009 6:01 am

So I recently heard about this game today... and I don't think I'm the only one either. Now, I did an article post about it earlier, but I thought of sharing it here as well as it is interesting.

Now, I'm not sure how well this works or even if it does work, but let's assume it does. So Firefly is a game that seems to be taking it's book from the motion detection of the consoles and of reinventing the controller. How he's doing this is by having the controller as a lit candle.

Okay, so a candle probably isn't the best idea to use (as wax melts and that can burn), but let's assume it can be used with a flashlight, lighter, or anything else that gives some light. Now, the point of the game is to guide around a firefly who has lost it's sparkle. So the candle is used as a light and navigation... oh, and you also need a webcam so that there's something to pick up the candle.

Here's the gameplay video that the creator provides.
